Statewide Issues

 

California's government, both in size and complexity, rivals our nation's Capitol.  

 

Los Angeles County alone is more populated than 40 states. And In Sacramento, over 2,000 new pieces of legislation are introduced each year to change or amend California law. 

 

The California Metals Coalition (CMC)  has been representing its members for over 40 years on statewide issues.  CMC's goal is to pursue and establish consistency when the unpredictable cost of government disrupts a metal company's ability to meet customer needs.

 

State Agencies:

California has over 400 state agencies, departments and commissions (link).  Operating a metal company in California means tracking proposed regulations, understanding the capabilities/tendencies of each agency, and preparing for the conditions required by new laws.  Much like the legal system, state government is better navigated with experts.
